Court Grants Ngige Bail in Alleged 2 Billion Naira Fraud Case

The Federal High Court in Gwaripa, Abuja, granted bail to former Minister of Labour, Ngige, in a 2 billion naira contract fraud case. Justice Maryam Hassan presided over the case, ordering Ngige to submit his travel documents.

Ngige was arraigned on eight counts related to contract fraud allegedly committed during his tenure. The court remanded him at the Kuje Correctional Center pending bail determination.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) opposed Ngige's bail request, led by lawyer Sylvanu Tahir.
