Peter Obi to Sue Kenneth Okonkwo for Defamation Claims

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC), has vowed to proceed with defamation charges against Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This announcement was made during an exclusive interview with Oseni Rufai on Tuesday.

Obi's decision follows Okonkwo's claims on national television that Obi was involved in corrupt practices during the party's primaries, including allegations of bribery amounting to N10 million. Okonkwo accused Obi of handpicking candidates who would not win and described Obi as a leader involved in extortion schemes.

In response, Obi stated that he would take Okonkwo to court to address these allegations, asserting that the legal proceedings would expose the truth publicly. He expressed confidence that the court would reveal the facts surrounding the accusations made against him.
