ICPC to Arraign El-Rufai for Corruption Charges

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) will arraign former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Federal High Court in Kaduna. ICPC spokesperson John Odei confirmed that El-Rufai will be arraigned alongside Joel Adoga in case number FHC/KD/73/2026.

The charges filed against them include allegations of conversion, possession of public property, and money laundering. Additionally, the ICPC has filed a separate case against El-Rufai at the Kaduna State High Court, involving Amadu Sule Leda, with charges numbered KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, which pertain to alleged abuse of office and intent to commit fraud for personal advantage.

The ICPC has reiterated its commitment to due process and adherence to the rule of law in prosecuting corruption-related offenses.
