Justice Tsoho to Appear Before Code of Conduct Bureau

Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, is scheduled to appear before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) following allegations of non-declaration of assets. A statement from Dr.

Catherin Obi Christoph Mondai indicated that Justice Tsoho requested the bureau to fix a date for his appearance, which is expected to commence the week of March 16. He reiterated his commitment to due process and transparency, expressing a desire to clarify the situation.

The allegations include failing to disclose three bank accounts with United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Access Bank. If found guilty, Justice Tsoho could face a ten-year imprisonment and a ten-year ban from holding public office.

Additionally, he is facing a petition from the National Judicial Council (NJC) related to a case involving Dumebi Kachikwu and others against the Independent National Electoral Commission. Justice Tsoho has indicated his readiness to cooperate fully with the CCB and participate in the legal process.
