Bauchi Finance Commissioner Granted N100m Bail in Terrorism Financing Case

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Finance, Yakubu Adamu, was granted N100 million bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja in a case involving alleged terrorism financing and money laundering. The case also includes other top Bauchi state civil servants.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had preferred 10 counts of terror financing and money laundering against Adamu and three others. The defense argued for bail, mentioning new facts related to the case.

The judge ordered strict bail conditions, including regular reporting to the Department of State Services (DSS) and surrendering international passports.
