Bauchi Finance Commissioner Granted N500m Bail in Money Laundering Case

The Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail to Bauchi State Finance Commissioner, Yakubu Adamu, in a money laundering case involving N4.6 billion. Adamu pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court required him to provide two sureties who own properties in specific areas of Abuja and deposit his international passport. The case involves allegations of conspiracy to launder money through fraudulent activities related to supplying motorcycles to Bauchi State.

The trial is set to commence on January 20.
