Amaechi Refutes Tinubu's Claims on Buhari's Election

Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transport and Director General of Muhammadu Buhari's 2015 presidential campaign, has dismissed claims made by Bola Tinubu that he was primarily responsible for Buhari's election. In an interview, Amaechi emphasized that Buhari's victory was the result of collective efforts within the All Progressives Congress (APC) rather than the work of a single individual.

He argued that many key actors contributed to the formation and success of the APC and its presidential campaign. Amaechi noted that he played a significant role in mobilizing political support nationwide and served as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum at the time, which was instrumental in galvanizing support for Buhari.

He also mentioned that Tinubu's assertion that he made Buhari president was inaccurate, as he could not have made such a claim without acknowledging the collective efforts that led to the election.
