Amaechi Affirms ADC Membership After Primaries Loss

Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport and ex-Governor of Rivers State, clarified his status within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after losing the party's presidential ticket to Atiku Abubakar in the recent primaries. In a video snippet from an exclusive interview with Chude Jideonwo, Amaechi expressed his full commitment to the ADC and dismissed rumors regarding an offer for a vice-presidential slot.

He firmly stated that he would not accept such a position. The interview followed a reconciliatory meeting on Thursday afternoon, where Atiku Abubakar visited Amaechi at his Abuja residence, accompanied by former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal and former ADC National Chairman Ralph Nwosu.

Amaechi criticized the electoral process, alleging that the results were manipulated and concocted, particularly regarding Atiku's candidacy for the 2027 presidential elections.
