D4vd Arrested for Murder After Missing Girl's Remains Found

American singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthoni Burk, was arrested on suspicion of murder after the decomposed remains of 14-year-old Celest Riva Hernandez were discovered in his vehicle. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the arrest on Thursday, stating that Burk, 21, is being held without bail.

The case is expected to be presented to the district attorney's office on Monday. Burk's lawyer has pushed back against the evidence, noting that no indictment has been returned and no criminal complaint has been formally filed.

The grim discovery occurred on September 8, 2025, when authorities responded to a report of a foul odor at a Hollywood tow yard, leading to the finding of Hernandez's remains in a cadaver bag. She had been reported missing by her family in April 2024.

The investigation gained momentum when Burk's father, Dawud Burk, contested a California court summons, inadvertently releasing documents that confirmed his son's identification as a murder target.
