Amnesty International Condemns Nigeria's Use of Force on #FreeNnamdiKanu Protesters and Journalists

Amnesty International has strongly criticized Nigeria for using lethal force against #FreeNnamdiKanu protesters and journalists demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The protesters, including journalist Omoyele Sowore, were dispersed with tear gas in Abuja, resulting in arrests and camera seizures.

Amnesty International condemned the actions as atrocities committed by security forces and called for the immediate release of those arrested. Nnamdi Kanu is facing multiple charges since his extradition to Nigeria from Kenya.
