Amyafrique Art Gallery to Launch in Lagos Next Month

Amyafrique Art Gallery, founded by Nigerian entrepreneur Okpara Judith Amarachi, is scheduled to unveil in Lagos next month. The gallery aims to energize Nigeria's growing art scene by celebrating African creativity and connecting people through the power of art.

Amarachi's journey began in Orlu, Imo State, and included various roles in event ticket sales, fashion modeling, and aviation before she discovered her passion for art. In 2021, she opened the gallery, which has since achieved significant milestones, including the sale of a sculpture worth 10 million naira.

Amarachi describes this success as proof that persistence pays off, with each setback leading to new opportunities. The gallery is positioned to become a cultural hub for emerging African artists, showcasing their talents and preserving heritage while reflecting the rising global interest in Nigerian and African art.
