Analyst Jide Ojo Raises Concerns Over Peter Obi's Potential Departure from ADC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Public affairs analyst Jide Ojo has indicated that Peter Obi might depart from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) before the 2027 elections if he fails to secure the party's presidential ticket. Ojo mentioned that Atiku Abubakar's significant financial resources could outspend Obi, especially in ADC's indirect primaries.

There are rumors of Obi potentially defecting to another party, given his past as a former Labour Party presidential candidate. Several Southeast lawmakers have already defected, raising concerns about Obi's commitment to contest in 2027.
