Anambra ADC Chairman Chri Nwosu Resigns Over Obi's Exit

Chri Nwosu, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Anambra State, resigned on May 2, 2026, in response to the departure of Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Nwosu's resignation letter, addressed to the chairman of the ADC in Ozubulu ward, Ekwusigo LGA, stated that his decision was influenced by Obi's exit and expressed a desire to support genuine aspirants for the development of Nigeria.

Nwosu thanked the ADC for the opportunity to serve, although his tenure was brief. He had previously been elected as the state chairman during a congress held at the Kyri Event Centre in Awka, Anambra State, on April 11, 2026.

His resignation took effect immediately to avoid any doubt regarding his departure from the party.
