Anambra First Lady Advocates for Senior Citizens' Wellbeing

Dr. Nony Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, reaffirmed her commitment to the wellbeing and dignity of senior citizens during a free medical outreach held at the Lighthouse in Awka.

The event, which took place on a Friday, aimed to provide free health screenings and consultations to detect and manage age-related conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Medications were provided based on medical findings to ensure immediate treatment and continued care.

Dr. Soludo, who is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Healthi Live, emphasized the vital role of older persons in society and the need for their dignity and care to remain a priority.

The outreach also featured food distribution, clothing materials, and cash gifts, creating a festive atmosphere with music, dance, and games. Dr.

Soludo expressed gratitude towards the elderly, underscoring the importance of protecting them from abuse and ensuring they feel respected and valued within the community.
