Anambra Government Bans Textbook Use for Assignments to Promote Sustainability

Anambra State government has prohibited the use of textbooks for writing assignments in schools to promote sustainability and cost-effectiveness. The ban aims to make textbooks reusable, especially for younger siblings and to ensure inclusivity and diversity in learning materials.

The decision was announced by the Commissioner of Education, Ngozi, during a workshop organized for private school stakeholders. Parents, teachers, and school administrators are urged to strictly adhere to the directive and report any violations.

The initiative is part of the state government's strategy to ease financial burdens on families while promoting quality and sustainable education in Anambra State.
