Anambra Bans Writing in Textbooks to Promote Sustainability

Anambra State government has prohibited the practice of writing assignments directly in textbooks to promote sustainability and reduce financial burdens on families. The directive, announced by the State Commissioner of Education during a workshop at John God Secondary School Awka, aims to ensure textbooks can be reused and passed down to younger siblings.

The government emphasized the importance of inclusive educational materials reflecting diversity and equality. Parents, teachers, and school administrators are urged to enforce the new policy to enhance resource efficiency.
