Anambra guber: Yiaga Africa to deploy 250 election observers

Yiaga Africa, an election monitoring group in Nigeria, announced plans to deploy 250 trained and accredited observers for the upcoming November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election. The observers will be stationed at randomly selected polling units across the 21 local government areas of the state to monitor the voting process and result announcement.

The deployment will be carried out using the Process Results Verification Transparency (PRVT) methodology. Yiaga Africa will also deploy observers to the local government and state collation centers to observe and report on the result collation process.

The group aims to provide timely and accurate information about the election, including voter turnout estimates and party vote shares. Barrister Cynthia Mbamalu, the program director, urged voters to come out in large numbers to exercise their franchise without fear of intimidation or harassment.

She also called on voters to reject vote buying and other forms of election manipulation.
