INEC Releases Anambra Voter Registration Update Ahead of Election

INEC reveals the total number of registered voters for the upcoming Anambra governorship election, with 326 wards completed voter registration from 8th to 20th July 2025. The commission detected and removed double/multiple registrations using the Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS).

Sam Olumekun, the National Commissioner, stated that the new registrants' list has been displayed in wards for claims or objections as per the Electoral Act 2022. This update follows the completion of the voter registration process, ensuring the accuracy and validity of the voter roll for the election.

The figures provided reflect the distribution of new voters across the local government areas in Anambra State.
