Anambra Medical Consultants Threaten Strike Over Salary Discrepancies

The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital in Anambra State has given Governor Soludo a 21-day ultimatum to address salary issues and other demands. The consultants threaten to halt training, research, and patient care if their grievances, including proper salary scales and placement, are not resolved.

This ultimatum comes amidst concerns about the impact on resident doctors, patient services, and the overall functioning of the teaching hospital.
