Kelechi Anosike Plans Micro-finance Bank for Abia State

Dr. Kelechi Anosike, the 2027 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, announced his intention to establish a micro-finance bank headquartered in Aba to improve the economic welfare of Abians. During a consultation with the Old Bende Progressive Union, Anosike stated that the bank would provide interest-free revolving loans to traders, artisans, and entrepreneurs, requiring only a guarantee from union leadership for loan qualification.

He criticized the current Labour Party-led administration for failing to implement adequate welfare measures amid economic hardships. Anosike also pledged to establish three industries annually to address unemployment, highlighting the lack of job opportunities for youths.

Additionally, he proposed the creation of the Abia Labour Global Opportunities Agency to connect youths with international job opportunities, particularly in virtual roles. His agricultural initiative, Operation Feed Abia (OFA), aims to enhance food sufficiency and lower living costs.
