Anosike Promises Youth Jobs and Agriculture Focus for 2027

Dr Kelechi Anosike, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for Abia State, emphasized the importance of youth development and agriculture in his administration during the Ohuhu Youth Day event at Afugiri Central School. He urged young people to support his 2027 governorship ambition, stating that any government lacking a youth program does not understand the future.

Anosike identified agriculture as a key area for job creation and food security, introducing his welfare agenda, which includes Operation Feed Abia, aimed at engaging youths in farming. He announced a N1m donation to support the Ohuhu youth leadership's agricultural program and promised to facilitate virtual employment opportunities for Abia youths with companies in Asia and Europe.

The event's chairman, Royal High Chief Ugochukwu Edozie, praised the youth leadership's initiatives, while Chief Uchenna Iheanacho highlighted the group's empowerment of over 300 individuals. Anosike received a Visionary Leadership Award from the Ohuhu Youth Wing, presented by Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu.
