Teen Charged in Murder of UK-Based Nigerian Teenager

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Eghosa Ogbebor, a 14-year-old British Nigerian who was fatally shot in the Woolwich area of London on April 2. The Metropolitan Police Service disclosed that the suspect, whose identity is withheld for legal reasons, was arrested on Wednesday, May 6.

Eghosa was shot at approximately 3:40 PM, and despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation, which commenced on April 2, has led to multiple arrests, including a 16-year-old boy from Romford, who was charged with murder on April 10 and remanded in custody.

Other suspects, including a 19-year-old man and two boys aged 14 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released on bail pending further inquiries. The police continue to support Eghosa's family during this difficult time.
