16-Year-Old Charged with Murder of Nigerian Teen in London

The Metropolitan Police announced that a 16-year-old boy from Romford has been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor, who was shot dead in the Woolwich area of London on April 2. The police reported that they received an emergency call at 4 PM that day, but despite efforts from medical personnel, Ogbebor was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was first arrested on April 4 and released on bail, but was re-arrested on April 9. He is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on April 11.

In connection with the incident, three other teenagers were also arrested, with two aged 14 and 16, and a 19-year-old man, while a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three have been released on bail.

The investigation into Ogbebor's death remains ongoing.
