British-Nigerian Musician Mark Orabiyi Stabbed to Death

Mark Orabiyi, a 35-year-old British-Nigerian musician, was fatally stabbed in London on a Friday, sustaining multiple stab wounds at a residential property on Rayleigh Road. Emergency responders arrived following a distress report but were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that formal identification procedures were still ongoing. Family members described Orabiyi as a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend whose positive impact touched many lives.

The police arrested three suspects in connection with the incident, including a 27-year-old man who was later released on bail pending further inquiries, and a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who were released without further action. A second victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna York, leading the investigation, described the killing as tragic and urged anyone with relevant information or CCTV footage to contact the police.
