Anthony Joshua Crash Driver Case Adjourned to March 13

The case against Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayod, the 46-year-old driver involved in a fatal crash with Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has been adjourned to March 13. The proceedings took place at the Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State on Wednesday.

The prosecutor requested additional time to prepare evidence against Kayod, who was driving Joshua's vehicle during the incident. He faces charges including causing death, dangerous driving, reckless driving, driving without due care, and driving without a valid driver's license.

Kayod has yet to enter a plea. The crash occurred on December 29 when the vehicle collided with a stationary lorry on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Joshua sustained injuries and was discharged from the hospital two days later, while his trainer, Sina Ghami, was pronounced dead at the scene.
