Anthony Joshua Discharged After Tragic Accident, Lagos and Ogun Governments Commend Hospital Care

Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua was discharged from the hospital following a road accident that resulted in the loss of two close friends on December 29, 2025. The Lagos and Ogun State governments expressed condolences and praised Lagoon Hospital for its quality care.

Joshua's mother paid final respects at a funeral home in Lagos, with plans for repatriation. Governor Sanwo-Olu and Governor Abiodun appreciated the public concern and support, including that of Bola Tinubu.

The medical personnel at Lagoon Hospital were also acknowledged for their care.
