Abuja Protesters Block Road Demanding Better Security

Protesters blocked a major road linking Karu and Nyanya in Abuja, demanding that the government take immediate action to improve security in light of rising incidents of kidnapping and violent attacks. The demonstration, which involved protesters wielding placards and chanting anti-government songs, caused heavy traffic congestion along the Abuja-Keffi expressway, leaving many commuters stranded for hours.

The protesters urged authorities to implement measures to protect lives and property, as the general insecurity had made life unbearable for residents. Traffic management was deployed to handle the situation, advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
