Abuja Protesters Demand Action Against Insecurity

For the third consecutive day, protesters in Abuja have gathered to demand government action against rising insecurity, blocking the bridge along the Karu-Nyanya Expressway, a major route connecting Abuja and Nasarawa State. The demonstrators carried placards and chanted anti-government slogans, urging the government to fulfill its responsibility to protect lives and property.

The protests have caused significant traffic disruptions along the busy Abuja-Keffi Expressway, leaving commuters stranded for several hours. The protesters expressed their frustrations over the increasing challenges posed by kidnappings and violent attacks, which have made life increasingly difficult for residents.

Security personnel have been deployed to the area to monitor the protests and manage traffic flow, advising motorists to use alternative routes due to the disruptions.
