Kimi Antonelli secured victory at the Canadian Grand Prix, achieving his third consecutive win. Throughout the race, George Russell, Antonelli's teammate at Mercedes, initially led but lost control of his W15 power unit on lap 28, which ended his competitive run.

The race featured a thrilling duel between Antonelli and Russell, who swapped the lead three times during the opening phase. Russell managed to maintain his composure despite a front wheel lock-up on lap five but ultimately faltered on lap 30.

Lewis Hamilton, also from Mercedes, delivered a strong performance, finishing second, while Max Verstappen from Red Bull took third place. McLaren faced a disappointing race due to a strategic error regarding tire selection, which hampered their performance and allowed smaller teams to capitalize on penalties.
