Antonio Conte Addresses Manchester United Manager Speculation
Antonio Conte has issued a statement in response to speculation linking him to the managerial position at Manchester United, should Michael Carrick be dismissed. Carrick is under significant pressure after Manchester United's worst start to a season in 40 years, highlighted by a 4-1 defeat to Como.
He is expected to manage the team against AFC Bournemouth, but another loss could jeopardize his tenure at the club where he previously played. Multiple candidates have been mentioned as potential replacements, including Conte, who has previously managed Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Manchester United board, represented by directors Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell, is reportedly divided on the choice of Carrick's successor. The situation remains fluid as Carrick's future hangs in the balance following the team's recent performance.
