APC and ADC Candidates Tie in FCT Area Council Elections

In the recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, the candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) recorded a tie at the Supreme Court Staff Quarters polling unit, each garnering 12 votes. The election saw a low voter turnout, with only 32,749 registered voters casting their ballots.

Martin Sani and Christoph Maikalangu represented the APC and ADC, respectively. Additionally, the People's Democratic Party received four votes, while the Progress Grand Alliance and Social Democratic Party candidates received two votes and one vote, respectively.

Dr. Olusola Odumosu, the commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), assessed the election process and expressed confidence in the absence of post-election violence, highlighting the security measures in place to deter disruptions.
