APC Adopts Consensus Primary in Ekiti State Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has opted for a consensus primary for the upcoming governorship election, with candidate Atinuk Oluremi Omolayo stepping down and endorsing Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. The party's National Public Secretary, Felix Morka, announced the decision in Abuja, stating that the move was in line with the party's constitution.

The decision has been transmitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with a timeline set for nomination activities leading up to the election in June 2026.
