APC Aspirant Fajemirokun-Ajayi Urges Protection of Primaries

Simisola Fajemirokun-Ajayi, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ondo State House of Representatives for the Oluji/Odigbo Federal Constituency, has called for the protection of primary election results. In a press statement, she expressed appreciation for the support from party members, women, youth, and grassroots stakeholders who participated peacefully in the primaries, despite reports of intimidation and pressure attempts that could undermine the democratic will of the people.

Fajemirokun-Ajayi highlighted that she received overwhelming grassroots support, particularly in the Odigbo Local Government Area, which is the largest voting bloc in the constituency. However, she raised concerns about reported disruptions and irregularities during the elections, including intimidation at polling stations and the absence of electoral officials in certain locations.

She cited allegations involving certain aides linked to the Ondo State government, warning that unchecked actions could tarnish the credibility of future elections and the democratic image of the APC. Fajemirokun-Ajayi reaffirmed her commitment to peaceful democratic engagement and urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to protect ordinary party members and ensure fair processes.
