Fajemirokun-Ajayi Calls for Protection of APC Primary Results

Simisola Fajemirokun-Ajayi, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ondo State House of Assembly, has demanded that President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership ensure the integrity of the primary election results. In a statement issued on Saturday, she highlighted overwhelming grassroots support, particularly in the Odigbo Local Government Area, which she claims is the largest voting bloc in her constituency.

Current verified figures show Fajemirokun-Ajayi received 4,247 votes, while her opponents, Matthew Oyerinmade and Festus Adefirany, garnered 1,790 and 788 votes, respectively. Despite these results, she expressed concern over incidents of intimidation and disruptions reported across the constituency, including the absence of electoral officials and attempts to compromise the results.

Fajemirokun-Ajayi emphasized that such actions could damage the credibility of the APC and undermine democracy, calling for protection of ordinary party members, especially women and youth, from political bullying.
