Rotimi Amaechi Accuses APC of Blocking Electronic Results Transmission

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused the ruling party, APC, of obstructing the electronic transmission of election results out of fear of losing future elections. Amaechi called on opposition parties to unite against what he described as attempts by a single party to control Nigeria's electoral system.

He criticized APC's resistance to electronic transmission and questioned the party's record, despite controlling several states. Amaechi expressed bewilderment at the ruling party's perceived insecurity, especially in the face of high-profile defections to the opposition.

Security has been heightened around the National Assembly following protests led by activists like Aisha Yusuf and various civil society organizations.
