APC Chairman Yilwatda Calls for Unity Against Insecurity

Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called on residents of Plateau State to unite in the fight against insecurity.

His remarks came during a visit to the Kanam Local Government Area on Sunday, following recent bandit attacks that resulted in the deaths of several individuals, including a soldier and a vigilante officer. Yilwatda urged residents not to relinquish security issues to the authorities alone but to actively participate in strengthening security measures within their communities.

He extended his condolences to the families affected by the attacks during his visit to the palace of the Emir of Kanam, Alh. Muhammadu Mu Azu Muhammadu.

The Emir expressed solidarity with the people during this challenging time. Yilwatda emphasized the need for unity and resilience among the people of Kanam to overcome adversity and restore peace, urging leaders and citizens alike to renew their commitment to fostering peace and building a secure future for all communities.
