APC Chairman Urges Action Against Violence in Plateau

Nentaw Yilwatda, the APC Chairman, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visit to Plateau State on Thursday, which he described as a strong demonstration of compassionate leadership. Following recent violent attacks in Angwan Rukuba, Yilwatda condemned the violence as inhuman and cowardly, warning that the ongoing loss of innocent lives can no longer be treated as a routine reaction.

He emphasized the need for urgent and decisive measures to end the cycle of violence in the region. Yilwatda called on community leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and security agencies to work collaboratively to identify and report suspicious activities.

He advocated for the deployment of modern security technologies, including artificial intelligence and drone surveillance, to enhance threat detection and response. Yilwatda also highlighted the economic consequences of insecurity in Plateau State, urging unity among various stakeholders to restore peace and stability, and reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to addressing insecurity and ensuring justice for victims.
