APC Chairman Backs Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid at Kaduna Campaign Launch

The All Progressives Congress launched its 2027 presidential campaign in Kaduna on Saturday with the party's national chairman throwing full support behind President Bola Tinubu's bid for re-election. Professor Nentawe Yilwatda told gathered party members and supporters that Nigerians have signalled their backing for Tinubu to continue leading the country through the next electoral cycle.

Yilwatda framed the campaign around completion of the president's reform agenda. He argued that Tinubu has demonstrated the commitment required to tackle the nation's economic difficulties and strengthen infrastructure across sectors.

The chairman characterized the administration's "Renewed Hope Agenda" as a blueprint that requires additional time in office to translate into measurable improvements for ordinary Nigerians. Beyond economic arguments, Yilwatda claimed broad support for the president across demographic lines.

He stated that women, young people and other segments of the population have expressed satisfaction with Tinubu's leadership direction. The chairman's remarks positioned the APC as unified behind the incumbent heading into the 2027 contest.

The Kaduna campaign event served as the formal kickoff for the ruling party's re-election push, bringing together party officials and supporters. The timing places the APC's 2027 strategy in motion approximately two years before voters return to the polls.

Yilwatda's statements reflect the party's confidence in securing another presidential term under Tinubu's candidacy.
