Anambra Indigene Elected APC Ward Official in Gombe

During the APC congress in Gombe, Chukwujekwu, an indigene of Anambra, was elected as a ward official, marking a significant step towards inclusivity within the party. The election was conducted consensually, as announced by Dr.

Danjuma Dabo, the chairman of the ward local government congress committee. Chukwujekwu expressed satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting that the election reflects the maturity of the APC as a democratic party and promotes national unity.

He urged Igbo kinsmen and women to engage actively in the party, reinforcing that the APC does not discriminate against its members based on their origin. Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya was commended for fostering an inclusive government.

The congress resulted in the emergence of ward executives across 10 wards in Gombe Local Government Area, with a call for party stakeholders to maintain unity and strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
