APC Convention Praised for Organization and Security

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State described the recent APC convention as a model of organization and security, attributing its success to thorough planning and innovative strategies. The convention, held at Eagle Square, saw an attendance of 11,000 participants, including 8,400 delegates, 1,800 committee members, and 200 VIPs.

Abiodun noted that the organizing committee conducted a critical review of previous conventions to address recurring challenges, particularly in crowd management and venue security. The committee undertook a comprehensive redesign of the venue layout, conducting simulations to ensure smooth entry and exit for the 12,000 participants.

Specific entry points were assigned for different categories of attendees, and surveillance cameras were strategically installed to enhance security. The governor commended Bola Tinubu for entrusting the responsibility of the event to the organizing committee, which was praised for its meticulous coordination.

Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyediran highlighted the unprecedented nature of the event, which featured delegates from all 36 states of the federation.
