Oyebanji Leads APC Aspirants' Screening Committee for 2026

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been named the chairman of the aspirants' screening committee for the 2026 All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention. The committee was inaugurated alongside its members at the party's national headquarters in Abuja.

It comprises 42 members, including Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo as co-chairman, former Senate President Ken Nnamani as vice chairman, and former Bauchi State Governor Isah Yuguda as secretary. Philip Shuaibu, the former Edo State deputy governor, serves as the assistant secretary.

Other notable members include Senators Orji Uzor Kalu, Gbenga Daniel, Ben Ayade, Osita Izunaso, Sarafa Alli, Adebayo Adelabu, Dr. Isa Muhammad, and Uch Lilian Ekwunife.

The committee's primary responsibility is to screen and verify aspirants for electoral positions in accordance with the party's constitutional guidelines. The event was presided over by the national chairman of the APC, Prof.
