Oyebanji Leads APC Aspirants’ Screening Committee for 2026

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been named the chairman of the aspirants’ screening committee for the 2026 All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention. The committee, which consists of 42 members, is responsible for screening and verifying aspirants for electoral positions in accordance with the party's constitutional guidelines.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the party's national headquarters in Abuja. Notable members of the committee include Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo as co-chairman, former Senate President Ken Nnamani as vice chairman, and former Bauchi State Governor Isah Yuguda as secretary.

Other prominent members include Philip Shuaibu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Gbenga Daniel, Ben Ayade, Osita Izunaso, Sarafa Alli, Adebayo Adelabu, Isa Muhammad, and Uch Lilian Ekwunife. The committee's responsibilities also encompass various subcommittees, including those for appeals, security, finance, media, and protocol.
