APC Convention: Yilwatda Re-elected as National Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted its national convention late Friday night in Abuja, resulting in the re-election of Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda as the national chairman.

The convention involved approximately 8,000 delegates who participated in a voice vote to elect new leaders, following a consensus arrangement. The newly formed National Working Committee (NWC) includes 20 members, with key positions filled by Abubakar Dalori as deputy national chairman (North), Dr.

Ben Nwoy (South), and several vice chairpersons from various regions. In his acceptance speech, Yilwatda pledged to serve the party diligently and emphasized the importance of unity and readiness to lead as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The event was attended by notable figures, including President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, highlighting the significance of the convention in shaping the party's future.
