APC Chieftain Urges Defence Minister's Sacking Amid Zamfara Crisis

The crisis within the Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has escalated as a party stalwart, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, called for the sacking of the Minister of State for Defence. Shinkafi made the appeal during a media interaction at the APC national headquarters in Abuja.

He specifically urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing turmoil in Zamfara, citing issues stemming from a failed membership registration exercise that has exacerbated internal divisions within the party. The situation has worsened due to the role played by the Minister of State for Defence, prompting calls for his removal.
