APC Elders Endorse Tinubu, Namadi for 2027 Elections

The elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State have officially endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Umar Namadi, purchasing nomination forms valued at ₦150 million for the upcoming 2027 elections. This endorsement was announced by Ahmad Garba Dure, the Jigawa APC chairman, following extensive consultations among party elders and stakeholders.

The move is intended to strengthen unity within the party and ensure ongoing governance and development at both the national and state levels. The APC has scheduled its presidential primaries for May 15-16, 2026, with presidential aspirants required to pay ₦100 million for nomination forms and governorship aspirants ₦50 million.

The elders adopted a consensus model for the party's primaries to minimize internal disputes and present a united front, thereby enhancing the party's chances in the 2027 general elections. The committee expressed confidence in the leadership of Tinubu and Namadi, citing their achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and economic reforms.
