Tinubu Secures APC Nomination for 2027 Presidential Race

On Tuesday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the current president, officially obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form for the 2027 presidential race, marking him as the first aspirant to secure this form. The event took place in Abuja, where James Falek, representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, received the form after making a payment of N100 million, the fixed amount for the presidential nomination form.

Sulaiman Argungu, the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, spoke to journalists following the event. Falek explained that the funds for the nomination form were raised through contributions from approximately 1,000 Nigerians across the country, emphasizing that no particular individual was responsible for the purchase.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections in 2027. This announcement comes amid recent meetings among opposition political parties in Ibadan aimed at presenting a consensus candidate against Tinubu.
