APC Extends Caretaker Committees' Tenure in Ekiti, Osun

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially extended the tenure of its caretaker committees in Ekiti and Osun states by six months, as ratified during the party's national convention on March 27. The motion for this extension was presented by Senator Barau Jibrin, representing Kano North, and was seconded by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, receiving unanimous approval from the delegates.

The extension is intended to maintain administrative stability and allow the party to effectively prepare for future electoral activities, given the impracticality of conducting fresh congresses at this time. The convention also saw the dissolution of the party's national working committee and the election of new national officers, including Professor Nentaw Yilwatda as the national chairman and Ali Bukar Dalori and Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoy as deputy national chairmen.

The convention emphasized the importance of unity within the party as it navigates upcoming electoral matters.
