APC Extends Nomination Form Deadlines for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension of the sale and submission deadlines for nomination forms related to the 2027 general elections. Duro Meseko, the Deputy National Public Secretary, disclosed that the sale of forms will now close at midnight on May 4, 2026, with submissions extended until midnight on May 5, 2026.

Initially scheduled to begin on April 25 and end on May 2, 2026, the timeline remains unchanged despite the extension. The screening process for candidates is set to commence on May 6, 2026.

Additionally, stakeholders in Taraba State have expressed interest in the nomination forms, particularly Agbu Kefa, who is seeking a second term as governor. Kefa's delegation, which includes federal lawmakers and party officials, collected the forms on April 30, 2026, reflecting strong support for his re-election bid.
