APC Schedules Presidential and Governorship Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially scheduled its presidential primary elections for May 15-16, 2026, and the governorship primaries for May 25, 2026. According to Sulaiman Argungu, the party's national organizing secretary, the sale of nomination forms will commence on April 25, 2026, and conclude on May 2, 2026.

The presidential nomination form is priced at N100 million, which includes a N30 million nomination fee and a N70 million expression of interest fee. For governorship candidates, the form costs N50 million, comprising a N10 million nomination fee and a N40 million expression of interest fee.

Other positions include N3 million for Senate nomination and N1 million for House of Representatives. The deadline for submitting completed forms is May 4, 2026, with screening scheduled from May 6 to May 8, 2026, and results to be announced on May 9, 2026.

The party reassured members and stakeholders of its commitment to conducting credible and transparent primaries to strengthen its internal democracy.
