APC G3 Commends Tinubu, Alausa for Student Grant Initiative

The APC G3 support group praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Education Minister Dr. Maruf Alausa for their initiative, the Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG), aimed at empowering Nigerian youth through entrepreneurship.

In a statement signed by the national coordinator Amechi Chuk Oyema, the group highlighted the program's strategic intervention, which received 30,000 applications from 404 tertiary institutions, ultimately shortlisting 65 innovative students. This initiative reflects Tinubu's vision to build a self-reliant youth population capable of driving economic growth.

The program, set to launch in December 2025 in partnership with the Bank of Industry, will provide ₦50 million in equity-free funding to student-led ventures reaching the commercialization stage. The selection process will feature AI-based screening and expert evaluation to ensure viable impact.

The 65 finalists are expected to participate in a venture development boot camp from March 26 to 29, 2026, with successful beneficiaries receiving awards at a ceremony.
